Ronny Flyer

'Ronny Flyer' is a weird drink invented by a genius, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where the name comes from.

More and more people who have been introduced to this drink have started liking it, after initially complaining about the odd (and some say, disgusting) taste.

Some like it outright. For example, a friend and a fellow pilot enjoying drinks with me in Lan Kwai Fong tonight. The dude bragged that there's nothing in this world that can put him down, fast and cold.

I suggested Ronny Flyer. He said, "Bring it along." So I turned to the bartender and gave specific instructions:

  • Double whiskey, as in double shots or pegs (whatever you prefer to call it) of preferably Black Label.
  • Double gin, as in double shots or pegs of acceptable quality gin, such as London Gin.
  • A splash or two of acceptable quality bitters, such as Campari.
  • A dash or two of lime juice.
  • And 4 or 6 regular ice cubes.

(Yes, you are consuming a lot of alcohol in just one drink. Yeah!)

Said friend started drinking slowly. Half way through the drink, the pupils in his eyes started dancing while he tried to reach for the drink 6 inches from where it was placed on the table. A little bit of help from yours truly and he finished his drink.

Couple of minutes later, said friend slid from the barstool and lay spreadeagled on the floor. It took considerable effort by the bartender and yours truly to lift him and place him on a comfortable couch at the back of the bar.

Two hours later, he woke up and dismally said, "Damn! That really was good."

So there! If you are relaxed or extremely tired, cheerful or pissed with the world, think you are the best or think you have been treated unfair since you were born, on your first date or your divorce, celebrating promotion or when you are fired, in fact, for any situation, this drink is for you.

Warning: Try this drink at home first, until you get used to the idea of your senses leaving you for a couple of hours and surfing beyond the astral plane. Don't try this at a bar or with a hooker unless you have trusted friends around you.

Ciao!

PS:

1) Said friend isn't flying for two days. Hope he won't try Ronny Flyer before his next takeoff.

2) Don't confuse bitters with bitter (British ale).

Thanks To Everyone

I would like to thank everyone for the condolences when I had some bad times earlier. I really appreciate.

I believe I have replied everyone who emailed me (and believe me, there were tons of email, which is why it took so long) and this post is for everyone who sent their condolences via comments.

Though some of us have not met each other, I believe there must be some universal connection from some time.

Once again, thanks to everyone and now I think I will restart doing what See Lai (and Nude King) does best. Also, I will be adding more flight videos (this time, recent ones) on my other blog - Kai Tak Memories (right sidebar - the landing photo).

Cheers and have fun, y'all.

The Crazy World Of Hong Kong And Its Celebrities!

In worrying developments in Hong Kong, Macau, and China, Edison Chen Photo Scandal has prompted the local authorities (of each of these jurisdictions concerned) to act like nincompoops of the first order you've ever seen around the world.

Instead of separating the issues of privacy and indecency/obscenity, calls are ringing from every self-proclaimed saintly community center to ban and delete indecency/obscenity on the Internet. Some even suggest that Hong Kong authorities should form a group that deletes porn from the Internet (please don't laugh), around the world on all servers (including in the US).

I sincerely hope that Hong Kong doesn't end up looking more stupid than a banana republic that only protects its tycoons and celebrities, while proclaiming itself (with the aid of Heritage Foundation) as the "freest economy in the world."

Cheers!

Hey Edison! Don't Stop That Music...

Hong Kong authorities and some people concerned are hoping that Edison Chen's Photo Scandal winds up for good. But that is not going to happen soon.

Maybe people in Hong Kong are beginning to lose interest in the story that seems to have seriously destroyed the careers of well known Hong Kong movie stars and singers such as Gillian Chung, Cecilia Cheung, Edison Chen himself, as well as several others, but the story is just picking up in other parts of Asia.

While loitering in Singapore's Changi Airport Terminal the other day and speaking to beautiful Chinese girls in Cantonese (yes, many people in Singapore do speak Cantonese) and Mandarin, many of them asked me (or rather begged me) for more details.

I obliged. "You see," I told them, "you can see Edison's love lollipop in full glory in the pictures if you Google them."

"Is it big?" they asked. See what I mean? This topic is a conversation starter. Soon I was surrounded by stewardesses in transit, store girls taking a break, and some other girls interested in the topic. One or two guys tried to join the conversation, but I frowned at them and they went back to their corner and started smoking.

Yes, we were in the smoking room, Terminal 2, Changi Airport. And yes, many Chinese girls in Singapore do smoke.

If you have not lived in Asia and when you read statements suggesting that Asians and particularly the Chinese are conservative, blah blah blah, take that with a grain of salt. Such statements are (usually) not meant to be positive. But rather, aimed at discriminating the Asians and particularly the Chinese as primitive or backward.

An example? I have heard about a Caucasian male who waves swords and performs Kung Fu stances in front of general public in a park, but gets pissed and laughs at Chinese people in Hong Kong when they decorate their houses during Christmas or celebrate Halloween.

Anyway, let us say that judging or comparing people aside, every place has its own culture and tradition. If you can't live with it, you better leave.

Back to the point. I had fun with the girls in Singapore at Changi. We discussed extremely graphic details about sex and people's (those who are involved) private parts without blinking an eyelid. Why? Because we were talking about other people. And especially people who are celebrities, and therefore, public figures. That is the culture and tradition out here, that I am talking about.

As allegedly reported by others, Paris Hilton might get away with such acts, I don't know. But then, Paris Hilton does not pose as a Government Ambassador in community hygiene advertisements. Problem is, some of those involved in Edison Photo Gate scandal tried to promote a squeaky-clean image.

One of the girls who heard rumors that all six girls in the photos/videos are going to sue Edison for damages, asked me, "Do you think it is fair that they ask for compensation for destroying their careers?"

I replied, "Do you think that they should be compensated if they were stupid enough to pose for him and perform fellatio and enjoy cunnilingus in front of a camera?"

Smiles all around.

Tell you what? Next time I go to Singapore (pretty soon), I will have more sex than I can handle. I am sure, because nine new phone numbers in my mobile phone's phone-book tells me so.

Cheers!

PS:

1) Those who are curious, can look for "thegutterpost" at blogspot. I am not going to provide a link.

2) Contrary to the belief that the new Terminal 3 in Changi Airport is for budget airlines, let me tell you that Singapore Airlines now (from January) flies from Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

This means, if you are landing at Terminal 2 (say from parts of Africa, South Asia, South-east Asia, etc.) and if your flight is departing from Terminal 3 (say to Hong Kong, or USA, Europe, etc.), you better board the (ugly) Skyrail and go to Terminal 3 immediately. Or else, you might miss your flight or piss off the Captain and the rest of the crew.

3) However, I need to tell you that you will see more beautiful girls in the smoking room of Terminal 2, simply because that was the most prominent terminal before Terminal 3 came up. And also, because most lounges, the Market Place, 7-Eleven, etc., were there long before the ugly Terminal 3 came up.

I Am Sorry

My father passed away this afternoon (Hong Kong time) and I am almost on my way to the airport.

I am sorry, but I cannot upload the models, the Model of the Year, etc., for (perhaps) a month, as I will be away from Hong Kong and in US.

Sorry to disappoint you and thanks for reading See Lai, thanks for your support, and thanks for all the votes.

Fun, wit, sexy female TV personalities, bad drivers, and read-between-the-lines risqué...

Yes, he is back. Go read his new blog (I am sure you will not be disappointed).

Cheers!

PS: About to promote another (actually more than one) sexy blog(s) by our well-known Creamy. But for now, I am flying to Singapore this afternoon and will be back tomorrow night. Will upload girlies, models, and links from Singapore (the land of boring ladies, yeah!). But for now, enjoy Fumie. Hey, don't blame me for slow activity here (See Lai). I have been more in air than on ground. Sorry.

Ulaca

Entertaining, funny, and witty posts, day after day, by yet another blogger - Ulaca.

Had a couple of drinks with him at the Foreign Correspondents Club. And he is as funny and witty in real life as he is while writing about the shortcomings of life in Hong Kong (and perhaps, everywhere).

Of course, I recommend (right sidebar) his blog.

Cheers!

PS: Will upload pictures of girlies and models soon.

Expat's Guide To Wan Chai (Nightlife)!

Visitors to Hong Kong may not have any experience in how to protect themselves in some of our more interesting nightlife areas. In light of the recent news about the alleged murders in Wanchai, we are providing this to you as a service, so you will know how to protect yourself.

This post/article is inspired by recent events. Although about Wan Chai, Hong Kong, the following applies to almost any other place/country.

Whether you are married or not, whether you live in Hong Kong, or not, here are some important suggestions (in no particular order of importance - everything written below is equally important):

1) Never use your real name in Wan Chai or any such place (I guess you should have figured that out).

2 a.) Never use your regular mobile (cell) phone.

2 b.) Try to have a cheap spare phone (without cameras, gadgets, etc.) and buy one of those anonymous SIM cards (a [random] phone number with stored value - usually costs HK$50).

More important stuff...

Odd Desires

Buddhist friend Wan Ker-sin is head over heels over Aung San Suu Kyi.

Someone ask him to give up celibacy before he does more damage.
