The Crazy World Of Hong Kong And Its Celebrities!

In worrying developments in Hong Kong, Macau, and China, Edison Chen Photo Scandal has prompted the local authorities (of each of these jurisdictions concerned) to act like nincompoops of the first order you've ever seen around the world.

Instead of separating the issues of privacy and indecency/obscenity, calls are ringing from every self-proclaimed saintly community center to ban and delete indecency/obscenity on the Internet. Some even suggest that Hong Kong authorities should form a group that deletes porn from the Internet (please don't laugh), around the world on all servers (including in the US).

I sincerely hope that Hong Kong doesn't end up looking more stupid than a banana republic that only protects its tycoons and celebrities, while proclaiming itself (with the aid of Heritage Foundation) as the "freest economy in the world."

Cheers!

Comments

I am surprised at your outrage.
Being a resident of Hong Kong it might be difficult to admit that you do indeed live in a country with a third-world mentality and a plague of hypocrisy.

Have recently relocated to Switzerland because I couldn't stand the pollution, both environmental and mental, any longer.
